European Court of Justice Rules that Germany's Disallowance of Currency Loss from Foreign PE Violates EC Treaty
The ECJ ruled that Germany violated the EC Treaty on two freedom of establishment issues in denying German capital company Deutsche Shell the right to deduct a loss from exchange-value depreciation of start-up grants provided to a permanent establishment in Italy.
